How my journey began

Hand holding a reflective globe

From a young age, I've had a sense that there's more to life than meets the eye. However, it wasn't until my early thirties that I began to seriously explore what this meant for me. This initiated my own journey of self-discovery, leading me down various paths. Reiki was a pivotal discovery, opening doors to realms such as crystals and angel intuitive work. Reiki continues to sustain me through life's transitions, and I was honored to become a Reiki Master in 2012 under the guidance of Julia Burdock.

As the years passed, I felt drawn to Brandon Bays' "The Journey." Completing her year-long study program from 2006 to 2007 equipped me with life skills that allowed me to step boldly into my true life's purpose. This journey cleared away emotional baggage and unhealthy patterns, not only for myself but for others as well. I find joy in supporting participants in Journey Intensive weekend courses as a trainer and obtained my practitioner's qualification in December 2013 to counsel others.

Concurrently, I became enthralled with Don McFarland's Body Harmony work. My journey in Body Harmony, obtained through a month-long retreat in 2008, has deepened my understanding of my body and its support in life.

2017 and beyond

In 2017, I further expanded my skills by completing a Graduate Diploma in Counseling from the University of Canberra and Level 1 in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. This exploration into Sensorimotor Psychotherapy revealed how trauma is held in the body and provided methods to support individuals in feeling safe, stable, and releasing held trauma.

I have since added Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Couple Therapy, Grief and Loss Therapy, and training to support those impacted by suicide to my toolkit.

I have also completed significant training in the areas of systemic theory (it’s all about relationships), domestic violence, and trauma-informed practice.

Additionally, I am a member of PACFA and the Mental Health Professional Network.

Throughout my professional and personal life, I've always been involved in helping others. I am deeply honored when someone entrusts me with their inner world, allowing them to follow their own journey, heal, and live their best life.
